BVP118 G1 → G2 — What Changed

Smaller housing. New U-bracket with 300° rotation. Better fit for facades, landscape and signage.

BVP118 G1
  • Hinge bracket (支架铰链)
  • Larger housing (e.g. 100W: 274 × 236 × 30 mm)
  • Higher profile (29–31.5 mm height across range)
  • Standard 100W total dimensions 274×236×30
  • Standard exterior wiring
BVP118 G2
  • U-bracket with 300° rotation — replaces G1 hinge
  • More compact housing — e.g. 100W: 257 × 225 × 27 mm
  • Slimmer profile — 24–29 mm height across range
  • 100W total 257×225×27 — smaller in all dimensions
  • Optimized 150mm rubber cable — 3×1.0mm² outdoor grade

FAQ

BVP118 G2 vs G1 — what's the difference?
The G2 swaps the G1 hinge bracket for a U-bracket with 300° rotation, and the housing is slimmer — 100W drops from 274×236×30 mm to 257×225×27 mm. Heights across the range are reduced to 24–29 mm. Same DoB driver, same 90 lm/W efficacy, same 220–240V input.
Is the BVP118 G2 suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. IP65 sealed against dust and water jets, IK05 impact rated, and 200-hour salt-spray tested. Operating temperature is -20°C to +40°C. The die-cast aluminum housing with RAL9005 finish holds up to year-round outdoor exposure, including coastal and high-humidity sites.
What does DoB mean?
Driver-on-Board. The driver circuit is integrated onto the LED board — no external driver box. The fixture is slimmer, lighter, and easier to install. Just connect the 150mm rubber cable (3×1.0mm²) to 220–240V AC mains.
Why does the beam angle differ at 10W?
10W is rated at 100° beam; 30W–200W is rated at 110°. Both are wide-flood designs suited to facade, landscape, and signage. If you need a narrow beam for long-throw sports lighting, step up to a higher-output BVP-series luminaire.
Why do the surge protection specs vary by wattage?
Surge protection is tiered by wattage: 10W gets 0.5KV/1KV, 30W–100W gets 1KV/2KV, and 150W–200W gets 2KV/4KV. Higher-wattage units handle larger driver stages and are typically installed in more exposed locations, so they get the stronger surge rating.
How do I select the right wattage?
Rule of thumb: 10–30W for residential facades, garden paths, small signs. 50–100W for commercial facades, mid-size signs, parking areas. 150–200W for sports fields, large billboards, and warehouse exteriors. For mounting height, allow roughly 1–1.5 m of throw distance per 10W.
