The RC038V is Philips’ new-generation slim back-lit panel — 93–95 lm/W, ultra-flat dedicated Philips-logo backplate, external driver, and a 30,000-hour lifespan. Five mounting methods cover t-bar, plaster, suspension, integrated-ceiling (CPC) and surface installation.

New Flat Backplate with Philips Logo

Reinforced stiffening ribs and a dedicated Philips-logo backplate. Surface flatness kept within 2.5 mm (60×60) and 2.8 mm (30×120) at both cold and hot states — a visibly tighter ceiling finish than the RC037V G3.

93–95 lm/W Back-Lit Distribution

PS 0.8 mm diffuser plus PMMA optical lens. 3,350–4,000 lm at 93–95 lm/W with an even, low-glare light — CRI ≥ 80, SDCM ≤ 5, UGR ≤ 25. Comfortable for office, classroom and healthcare work.

External Driver with Flying Leads

Driver mounted on the side of the housing in a V0-rated flame-retardant enclosure, with 120 mm of exposed flying lead and strip length above 48 mm. Philips-branded and easy to wire in plenum ceilings.

RG0 · Ripple < 10% · PF > 0.95

RG0 blue-light hazard (exempt). Power factor > 0.95, ripple current < 10%, PstLM < 1 and SVM < 1.6 — meets office-grade visual-comfort standards for long-hour work.

Which panel sizes and mounting types does the RC038V cover?

Twelve SKUs across two power tiers and two ceiling formats. 595\u00d7595 and 295\u00d71195 mm panels drop into standard t-bar (grid) ceilings or suspend by cable; 600\u00d7600 and 300\u00d71200 mm CPC versions are built for integrated ceilings (集成吊顶). All five installation methods (t-bar, plaster, suspension, CPC, surface) are supported with shared RC048B accessories.

What is the difference between the 36W and 42W versions?

The 36W (LED33S) family delivers 3,350 lm at 93 lm/W and is offered in 4000K (NW) and 6500K (CW). The 42W (LED40S) family delivers 4,000 lm at 95 lm/W and is offered in 6500K (CW) only. Both run at PF > 0.95 with Class I insulation and share the same 35\u201336 mm slim body and 30,000 hr L70/B50 lifespan.

How does the RC038V differ from the previous RC037V G3?

Three confirmed upgrades: power factor raised from > 0.9 to > 0.95; backplate flatness tightened from < 3 mm to < 2.5 mm (60\u00d760) and < 2.8 mm (30\u00d7120) at cold and hot states; and a new dedicated flat backplate with strengthened ribs and the Philips logo. The RC038V also adds a new 42W (LED40S) CPC integrated-ceiling tier.

Why is the 42W family available in 6500K only?

The LED40S (42W) tier is a new high-output addition to the RC038V line, positioned for bright, cooler office and commercial spaces, so it is released in 6500K (CW) only. The 36W tier offers both 4000K (NW) and 6500K (CW) for projects that need warmer or softer light.

What is the difference between CLI and CPC versions?

CLI is the standard grid/t-bar panel version with 595\u00d7595 and 295\u00d71195 mm outer dimensions. CPC is the integrated-ceiling (集成吊顶) version sized 600\u00d7600 and 300\u00d71200 mm, designed to drop into CPC ceiling modules. Lighting performance and driver specifications are identical.
